From Snapdragons to Sunflowers: Our Story

Golden Petal Flower Farm began with a childhood love for snapdragons and a deep belief that flowers spread joy. As the years went on, sunflowers joined my list of favorites, and the dream of creating a place where others could experience that same happiness began to grow.

Inspired by the flower gardens of my mom and grandmothers, I’ve turned a lifelong passion into a peaceful place where people can slow down, connect with nature, and pick their own blooms. One of my most cherished moments was replanting 100-year-old peony roots from my grandmother’s garden—when one bloomed, it felt like a piece of her was here with me.

Located on 40 serene acres in Southeast Kalamazoo County, our farm is one of the only U-Pick flower farms in the area, filled with sunflowers, zinnias, pollinators, and peaceful country charm. Whether you're here for a bouquet or just a breath of fresh air, we hope you leave feeling a little lighter—and a lot more joyful.

Today, I hope to pass that beauty, wonder, and nostalgia along to every person who visits. Whether you’re walking the fields, gathering a bouquet, or just pausing to take in the peaceful surroundings, my wish is that you feel more connected — to nature, to loved ones, and to the joy that blooms bring.
